Islamabad , Mr. Cyrill Nunn, new Ambassador of Germany to Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar here Tuesday and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Welcoming the Ambassador, the Foreign Minister stated that Pakistan enjoyed excellent relations with Germany. She underlined the importance of enhancing bilateral trade and investment, especially in the renewable energy sector.
The Foreign Minister appreciated Germany’s continued support to Pakistan for enhanced EU market access as well as its development and humanitarian assistance.
Foreign Minister Khar and Ambassador Nunn also discussed international and regional issues of mutual interest, including the reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
The Foreign Minister reassured the German Ambassador of Pakistan’s full support and wished him well in his new assignment.
