Islamabad : Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Friday urged the nation to make joint efforts in order to foil attempts of enemies to destabilize Pakistan.
Talking newsmen here, he said there was no security lapse in Kamra airbase terrorist incident. Minister said every act of terrorism has linkage with North Waziristan.
He said all terrorist groups are in touch with each other. Taliban have provided safe sanctuaries to criminals in tribal areas. He said Taliban are involved in terrorist attacks in the country.
He said Gilgit-Baltistan incident is not sectarian but an act of terrorism. A compensation package will be announced for the families of Babusar Top incident, he added.
Answering a question, Rehman Malik did not rule out possibility of terrorism on the eve of Eid-ul Fitr. He said nuclear assets are safe and defense of the country was in strong hands.
