Karachi : A child was killed and 10 other people were wounded on Saturday evening, when a suspected bomb blast near a junk shop in Karachi.
Police said that explosion occurred at 3:50 pm in front of a scrap shop near Bara Board intersection, in the limits of Pak Colony police station.
Thirteen-years-old Babar was killed on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medic-legal formalities.
Abdul Waheed, 40; Master Hamza, 8; Muhammad Ahmed, 13; Khair-ud-din, 35; Shahid, 28; Abdul Saeed,44; Allah Nawaz, 16; Abdullah, 15; Ashfaq, 25 and Mushahid, 25 were wounded and rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Duty official at Pak Colony police station Amir said that nearby shops and parked rickshaws were damaged in the blast, adding bomb disposal squad reached there and begun probe to determine the exact cause of the blast.
