Ex Pakistan foreign minister eyeing Imran Khan- led Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf for comeback

Lahore,  Former Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is eyeing Imran Khan-led Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to make a comeback, and had discussed current political scenario with Imran on the eve of Eid.

Sources told the Daily Times that Pakistan’s former politicians are looking forward to the PTI to make a comeback due to the party’s popularity among the youth.

Sources added some seasoned politicians, who are annoyed with Pakistan’s People’s Party (PPP) policies, have developed contacts with PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

They further said Imran had told some politicians to demonstrate their political strength before joining him.

A group of politicians, including some National Assembly members and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) senators are considering forming an independent group, which would ally with the PTI in the next elections.
