London :  Muttahida Qaumi Movement MQM Chief Altaf Hussain says authority of every institutions including parliament should be respected and institutions must work within ambit of their framework.

He was talking to Interior Minister Rehman Malik and had detailed discussions on situation in Sindh and overall situation in the country. Malik conveyed goodwill messages from President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, thanked Mr Hussain for extending full cooperation and lauded his role for strengthening democracy in Pakistan, MQM press release said.

MQM Chief said unity and solidarity were need of the hour to remove sense of deprivation of people. “Poisonous propaganda was done against MQM in the past as well but they foundered on solid rock of unity of people. Some elements once again started vicious propaganda against MQM for political mileage but caravan’s move on journey will continue.”

Malik said certain elements are using different tactics to create strife, turmoil in Sindh. MQM, PPP will foil conspiracies by working with other allied parties. “We should think, work as Pakistanis as provincialism can bring harm to the country. We have to save Pakistan, work for better future. People of Sindh will foil every attempt to create divisions and acrimonies.”

Both leaders dispelled impression that dual nationality of Pakistanis was being revoked. MQM and PPP would raise voice for rights of overseas Pakistanis. Hussain directed Co-ordination Committee to make efforts at every forum to protect rights of overseas Pakistanis, press release said.

MQM Chief conveyed feelings of anxiety, grave concerns of Karachi business community who were disturbed by extortion mafia. Malik assured full protection will be given to business community and criminals dealt with according to law. Hussain conveyed his best wishes for President Zardari, Prime Minister Gilani and lauded Malik’s efforts for peace and order in the country.
