ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday.
Current situation obtaining in the country was discussed during the meeting.
The Prime Minister also briefed the President about Pakistan s participation in United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development which would be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Pakistan would be represented by Foreign Minister Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar and Minister for Climate Change Rana Muhammad Farooq.
The Prime Minister also briefed the President about the energy situation in the country.
The President complimented the Prime Minister, Finance Minister, Coalition partners and the Parliament on the approval of the 5th Budget by the National Assembly yesterday.
Law and order situation in various parts of the country was also discussed during the meeting.
