LANDIKOTAL : Haji Nishan Gul Afridi was going back to his home at Mazrina Sultan khel last night along with two other persons when he was ambushed by unknown miscreants near his home. He had just returned from Khatmul Quran in the main mosque of Sultan khel. He was shot wounded in both of his legs in cross firing.
The alleged criminals fled away the scene. The wounded Nishan Gul was rushed to hospital where from he was referred to Peshawar for surgery. His relatives brought sniffer dogs to trace out the criminals here on Monday.
Separately, a child identified as Hasnain son Taj Ali Khuga Khel passed away due to the alleged negligence of a doctor at Landikotal hospital here on Monday. The relatives of the child accused the doctor for putting expired injection to the child which caused fatal for the child.
The relatives protested at the hospital and demanded action against the doctor and his transfer. The MS of Landikotal hospital Dr. Nazir Wazir commented that he was sorry to hear the bad news regarding the expiry of the child though he said that the doctor had no enmity with the child or his parents. The injection had been brought from the market, the MS added. The administration has also taken notice of the incident.
