Sadiq Umrani on flood losses

TAMBOO :  President PPP Balochistan Muhammad Sadiq Umrani has said that nearly 1.5 million people have been affected by recent floods and rains in Nasirabad and Jaffarabad area. Floods caused damages three folds than that of 2010.
Speaking to Media in Dera Murad Jamali Saturday Sadiq Umrani said that government was carrying to full relief activity for flood hit but owing to massive water administration s access to several areas was could not possible yet. He said flood shave caused enormous destruction.
He said 98 percent areas in Nasirabad and Jaffarabad have been completely destroyed. Lakhs of people rendered homeless and standing crops on lakhs of acres have been destroyed. He said extending relief and assistance to lakhs of affectees is not possible for government alone. Other organisations help is also required.
Expressing grave concern over slow pace of work by administration he said effective steps should be taken for the rehabilitation of flood hit people. He suggested to the government to include NGOs to expand orbit of relief activities so that they could be provide better assistance for their rehabilitation.
