Ratodero, Sindh, The doctors of Chandka Medical College Hospital Larkana boycotted the OPD for two hours and observed hunger strike on the call of Joint Action Committee against the kidnapping of a senior doctor Abdul Rab Sangi and robbery at the house of ENT specialist Dr. Abdul Rasheed Shaikh.
Dr. Sangi was kidnapped 67 days back and police have failed to recover him. The doctors have continued observing token hunger strike since then. The robbery at the ENT specialist’s home was committed last night in Larkana city.
Dr. Saeed Memon, Vice President, PMA, Sindh, Dr. Akbar Soomro, Dr. Badaruddin Junejo, Dr. Ghafar Sangi and Dr. Qayum Memon led the protest.
Meanwhile, the members of Pakistan Medical Association Larkana boycotted the meeting called by Deputy Commissioner with regard to anti-polio drive as a protest against non-recovery of kidnapped doctor.
