Matli, Sindh, A large number of workers staged a protest demo against the proposed privatization of Wapda here on Thursday.
Protestors on the joint call of Wapda Hydroelectric Union and Grid Station Employees Union marched on town roads and later came at local press club, where they chanted slogans against the government.
Workr leaders Babu Turk, Yaseen Ghulamnai, Zahid Khoso and other termed privatization as economic genocide of Pakistani workers and voted they would not allow snatching of two square meals from their families. Terming the energy crisis in Pakistan an American-engineered crisis, they asked the rulers to end this farce.
