SIALKOT, The Sialkot business community has strongly rejected the recent hike in POL prices by the government, saying that the increase will drive the last nail in the coffin of country’s dying economy.
In their separate statements issued here on Monday, Sialkot’s all the main trade bodies including Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA), Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PGMEA), Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PSGMEA), Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association (SIMA) of Pakistan and Markazi Anjuman Tajran Sialkot have strongly rejected the recent increase in POL prices, terming the move as cut-throat for Sialkot industries.
They expressed grave concern over this nasty situation, urging the federal government to withdraw the massive increase in POL prices to boom up the country’s industrial sector and boost the exports.
