Islamabad, Chief Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Islamabad Affairs, Faisal Sakhi Butt said on Tuesday that the government is taking all out measures to resolve the issues of traders on priority basis.
During a meeting with the newly elected representatives of I-8 Markaz traders community here, he said the government is upgrading various trade centres and small markets in the federal capital.
To promote economic activities in the city, the government is auctioning commercial plots in Blue Area and other busy commercial centres in a transparent manner to make Islamabad a business hub, he added.
Faisal Sakhi Butt said that he himself belongs to a business family and his elders played a pivotal role in structuring Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, adding that he know better how to resolve the issues and problems related to the traders community and will continue serving the community. Despite the difficulties, traders community has played its positive role to promote trade and business activities in Islamabad, he said. He said that extension of Blue Area will also promote economic activity in the city.
He said that due to reduction in oil prices in the international market, the government has trickled down its impact to consumers. He said that energy crisis has been inherited by the successive regime, adding that our government is working on a comprehensive plan to cope with the energy crisis.
Faisal Sakhi Butt greeted the newly elected representatives of I-8 Markaz Traders Association and said that he will continue his efforts to work for the welfare of traders on priority.
