Govt making puppet PM for vested interests of President,says Nawaz

Islamabad :   Chief of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif said Thursday that government is making puppet prime minister for the vested interests of the President.

Addressing a news conference here at Punjab House, he said that looters could never become political martyrs. Rather, they would become political orphans. “How many prime ministers would be sacrificed on altar of President Zardari, he posed a question?. President Zardari has made Pakistan ‘drama’ in the world just to save his looted money, he added.

Lashing out at President Zardari, he said President Zardari would not return six billion rupees, adding he (President) would make every prime minister as scapegoat. He made forecast that next prime minister would not follow the Supreme Court’s order regarding corruption and irregularities of the ruling class. He said that the judiciary and parliament have their status in different jurisdiction but the constitution is supreme document.

He said that he wished for transparent polls without any delay in the country; that is the sole way to bring the country out of crises. He made it clear that the PML-N candidate for premiership wins; they would announce next elections on priority basis. He outlined the challenges facing Pakistan, highlighting the need to improve the economic situation and eliminate the power crisis.

PML-N Head said that billions were being given in loans and the government had put the democratic process at stake. He alleged that current rulers have entangled the country into uncountable crisis. He said inflation, prolonged load-shedding and unemployment have irked the lives of the people.

On this occaison, he announced  that Sardar Mehtab Abbasi would be the candidate of PML-N. He said that if Abbasi was nominated as prime minister, he would soon announce general election in the country.

The PML-N leader said that in the contest of premiership masses would see who was responsible of corruption and load-shedding, and who was supporting democracy. He advised Pakistan People’s Party to start accountability inside the party.

He went on to say that PPP leaders should learn from Chief Justice of Pakistan who brought his son in palisade. He said that Speaker National Assembly should follow the verdict of the apex court.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on the occasion said that he has no business sharing with Malik Riaz. He added that in the AshianaHouseing Scheme tender was given through an open bit
