Islamabad : Governor Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, Barrister Syed Masood Kausar called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at Prime Minister’s House Wednesday and congratulated him on assumption of the office.
The Governor said that the country would overcome the challenges under his leadership as he was a seasoned politician who had risen from grass root politics.
The Governor also apprised the Prime Minister about law and order situation in FATA. “Barring one agency, the situation in FATA is almost normal”, said the Governor.
The Governor said that the incumbent democratic government had allocated record development funds for FATA and it would surely work to counter extremism and terrorism tendencies.
The Governor expressed his confidence that under the leadership of the Prime Minister the country will get rid of load-shedding to a greater extent.
He also invited the Prime Minister to visit FATA at his convenience.
The Prime Minister thanked the Governor and said development of FATA was his priority and assured that the ongoing mega projects in the area would continue.
The Prime Minister said that the people of FATA deserve a better deal as they were facing the major brunt of the scourge of terroris.
