NA pays rich tributes to late Fauzia Wahab

The National Assembly Friday paid rich tributes to late Fauzia Wahab for her contribution in the House and for strengthening democracy in the country.

Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf said that Fauzia Wahab was an experienced, hardworking and self made political worker who played an effective role in the Parliament.

He said with her death Pakistan Peoples Party has lost one important political worker.

He said her death is also a loss to the political system of the country. He said she was equally popular and respected on both sides of the House.

The Prime Minister said her struggle for strengthening democracy will be remembered for long time.

He said Fauzia Wahab was a close and faithful friend of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and she stood with the party and the democracy in all the difficult times.

He expressed condolence with her family members and prayed that Almighty Allah grant her eternal peace and courage to her family to bear the loss with fortitude. He thanked all the political parties for their remarks about Fauzia Wahab.

Yasmeen Rehman said that Fauzia Wahab was a dedicated worker of Pakistan Peoples Party and active member of the House. She said the vacuum created due to her death will be difficult to be filled.

Hamid Saeed Kazmi said that Fauzia Wahab was a brave lady who struggled throughout her domestic life and political career.

Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Fauzia Wahab was a sincere member of the House and she spent spotless career as a parliamentarian and set an example for the other parliamentarians and women.

Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said she was a popular member of the House and always behaved in friendly way. She was a self made woman

Abdul Kadir Khanzada expressed condolence with the President, Prime Minister and family of Fauzia Wahab on behalf of the Party Chief Altaf Hussain and members.

Munir Khan Orakzai also paid rich tributes to late Fauzia Wahab and expressed condolence on behalf of the members from FATA.

Bushra Gohar described her as a courageous women and example for other women. She said that she always solved all the problems after thorough discussion. She was a good problem solver.

Asiya Nasir said she was a brave, confident and an experienced politician. She contributed for the solution of the national issues wisely.

Sardar Bahadur Ahmad Khan Sihar said she was a progressive and enlightened parliamentarian. He said she represented parliamentarians on different forum intellectually.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim said that Fauzia Wahab was an asset of the Pakistan Peoples Party and a good spokesperson. He said her services will remembered for long time.

Later the House was adjourned till Monday at five pm.
