ISLAMABAD, The residents of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, who have been braving hot and humid weather coupled with unscheduled and prolonged power outages, heaved a sigh relief, as Saturday night heavy showers turned the weather pleasant.
The twin cities like most of the other parts of the country were in the grip of severe heat during last few days, however owing to last night much-awaited downpour weather took a pleasant turn.
Thick dark clouds kept hovering over the capital city during the day, as the weather remained hot and dry in the city since long. However, strong winds and thick clouds engulfed the city and later lashed the city with heavy showers.
The heat-beaten citizens of the federal capital and Rawalpindi left their homes to enjoy the pleasant weather.
