AJK: International community urged to put pressure on India for stopping human rights violations in IHK

Islamabad – The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Ch. Abdul Majeed has appealed the international community to prevent India from committing the worst human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir and put pressure over it to grant the Kashmiri people internationally recognized right to self-determination.

He stated this while talking to the Executive Director of Kashmir Scandinavian Council Norway Sardar Ali Shahnawaz Khan who met him here on Monday.

AJK premier said that the sacrifices of hundred thousands of Kashmiris would not go waste and ultimately they would achieve their goal of liberation from Indian clutches.

He said peace in the atomic Asia is linked with resolution of Kashmir issue. He said the aggressive designs and use of brute force by India in occupied Kashmir could jeopardize the peace efforts in the region.

AJK Prime Minister has also appreciated the role of overseas Kashmiris in highlighting the Kashmir issue at international forums. He said PPP Government will never compromise on the fundamental rights of the overseas Kashmiris and will protect their interests at every cost.

He informed Ali Shahzawaz that he would soon visit the European countries to highlight the Kashmir issue on international forum. Speaker AJK Legislative Assembly Sardar Ghulam Saddiq, media advisor Murtaza Durani were also present at the occasion.
