Youth to play role to promote love, peace and harmony : Akram Masih Gill

ISLAMABAD :  Minister of state for National Harmony Akram Masih Gill sees youth as country s further. They should play role to promote love peace and harmony in the society.
He was speaking during Catholic youth Ministry s  leadership  program. He further said that newly established Ministry for National Harmony has reserved Rs. 30 million for scholarships to the minority students. Awards for the minorities from deferent fields are also underway to recognize there achievements and services. We can depend on youth which is very talented now days.
Akram Masih stated that youth should stand against terrorism as we can defeat this menace with the only weapon of peace, love and harmony.
Our beloved country needs educational revolution. Youth should concentrate on studies as it is time to give full attention to them to build future and for the progress of country.
Akram Gill informed that minority seats in National and Provincial are being increased according to their population. Four seats have already, been reserved for them in the Senate.
While throwing light on the governments commitments towards interfaith harmony in the country and towards the improvement Minorities conditions the country Akram Gill said that the minority groups in Pakistan extol the decision of the incumbent government to allocate 5 per cent quota in Governments Jobs for Minorities and observing their festivals on National level.
Father Asharf Gill also addresses the occasion. He said that there are thankful over government s for the steps taken by them for up lift of religious minorities of the country. He added that minorities are satisfied our Government s efforts for the provision of their rights.
It was Catholic Youth Ministry s annual youth festival. They arrange programmes for the betterment of youth, such as their social activities, their skill and capacity building programmes of the None Muslim students to build their confidence and make them beneficial for their families and them selves.
Akram Masih Gill said, being Pakistani, all citizens are equal and share equal rights in the state. While remaining open to other religions and to their cultural contributions, we must unite our efforts to contribute to the Pakistani culture of the future and to the quality of human relations at every level.
