Islamabad : = President Asif Ali Zardari held a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razzaq in Makkahtul Mukarrama and discussed ways to further expand bilateral ties in various fields, says a press release received from Makkah on Wednesday. Bo the leaders have agreed to give boost to the existing economic and trade ties between the two countries.
The President said that Pakistan and Malaysia have a huge potential to tap in their respective Halal sectors. He said there is need to focus on enhancing trade between the two countries which has already touched two point eight billion dollars. The two sides also discussed issues regarding ASEAN and challenges confronting Muslim Ummah.
Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and Interior Minister Rahman Malik were also present at the meeting.
