Islamabad : Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has advised the President Asif Ali Zardari to confer the Award of “Hilal-e-Imtiaz” upon Ms. Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy.
PM has advised the President for this in cognition of her achievements in the field of film making and her contribution to highlighting important social issues in Pakistan through her documentaries.
For which Ms Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy was recently awarded the Oscar; the first time it has been awarded to a Pakistani.
