Islamabad : The youth would be involved in the decision making process for the development of the city and redressing social issues as they are the true catalyst of change. The most planned city of the country lacks basic facilities mainly because the reason that the residents do not have their say in the fate and future development of the city.
This was stated by Chairman, Prime Minister s Task Force on Islamabad Faisal Sakhi Butt while talking to a delegation of students, representing different Universities of the capital city here on Saturday.
He said that the Prime Minister s Task Force on Islamabad has asked the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and other allied organizations to adopt result oriented approach for resolving the chronic issues regarding city development and provision of quality civic amenities to the residents and has sought time line in this regard.
Faisal Sakhi Butt assured its full support to the students for materializing their innovative ideas into a reality to help reinforce the efforts of the Government being already taken in this regard.
He said that protection of environment and conservation efforts must be prioritized. He reiterated the need for quality education in the city and said that task force has already embarked on a plan to own a school concept in collaboration with private sector to provide quality educational facilities to the marginalized segments of the society.
On the suggestion of the youth, Chairman PM Task Force encourage the students to come up with fresh and new ideas to bring marginalized segments of the society including transsexuals and disabled in the mainstream by providing them better education and other opportunities.
