ISLAMABAD : 4TH Mohtarman Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Tenpin Bowling Championship 2012 finished at Megazone club F/9 Park Islamabad on Friday. This championship continues for 9 days. Players from Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta and Islamabad participates in the event.
The special thing about this event is that PTV Sports gave live coverage to this event. In this event singles, doubles, team, deaf, amateur, and inter colleges matches were played. In Singles event Zafar Iqbal from Islamabad wins the title with 360 and Muhammad Usman from Mulatan with Score of 325 remains at second in the final, in doubles Islamabad players M. Hussain Chattha and Saleem Baig wins with a total score of 695, in team event Ijaz ur Rehman, Zafar iqbal, M. Hussain Chatha and Saleem Baig wins with score of 1407, in deaf event Shahid Majeed from Lahore wins with score 314, In Amateur Moazam Khan from Karachi wins with score 321 and in inter Colleges event Amna from Islamabad wins the title with score of 112.
So Islamabad Players dominates in all the events. In the Closing ceremony Federal Minister for IPC Azmat Khan and Chairman Task Force of Prime Minster Faisal Sakhi Butt were the chief guests. They gave cash prizes, shields and medals to the players.
At this moment while talking to the media general secretary of Pakistan tenpin Bowing Federation Ijaz Ur Rehman said that its all because of federation that Pakistan is renowned in about 122 countries in bowing game. But due to not having our own bowling alley we have to face a lot of difficulties. Our players did foreign tours from their own pockets. Our govt. do not support them anywhere.
General Secretary of PTBF requests Federal Minister for IPC Azmat Khan and Chairman Task Force of Prime Minster Faisal Sakhi Butt to help us in managing land for our own bowling alley in Islamabad where we could construct a international bowling alley and could arrange international events. At this moment he also announced 2nd PTBF Ranking tournament in Royal Rodale Club Karachi in September.
He also said thanks to Al-Taqwa Enterprises,Al-Ain Enterprises, Book Town, A & A Steel Rolling Mills, MIZ Steel Rolling Mills and Royal Rodale bowling club that they sponsor this event. He also thanks to PTV Sports that they gave live coverage to our event.
At this moment chief guest Federal Minister for IPC Azmat Khan said that I am very happy to come here and see our youngster spirit for this support.
He said that I being the Minister for IPC will try my level best to manage a separate bowling alley for Pakistan Tenpin Bowing Federation.
