Islamabad, The 100th birth anniversary of prominent short-story writer Saadat Hassan Manto was celebrated on Friday to pay tribute to his services in the field of literature.
A number of literary activities were arranged to mark the day. Besides writing novels and short stories Manto also wrote script for radio and film.
He had published twenty-two collections of short stories one novel and five collections of radio plays.Manto wrote his masterpieces that include ’Thanda Gosht’ ’Khol Do’ ’Toba Tek Singh’ ’Iss Manjdhar Mein’ ’Mozalle’ and ’Babu Gopi Nath’.
