Islamabad ,President Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan called on Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Giglit-Baltistan Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo and discussed the issue of AJ&K Council and other development related issue.
President AJ&K told the Federal Minster that Khai-Gala-Tolipir rood is an important Defence Road which connects three Tehsils, Rawalakot, Hajeera and Abbaspur to District Havali (Forward Kohuta). He observed that the widening and repair of this important road is vital as it is the major road of Communication & Transport of the area.
President AJK also appreciated the interest and efforts of Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Giglit-Baltistan in the development of the region.
He expressed his gratitude to the Minister for his special interest in the approved of Tian Dhalkot Road by the Planning Commission and said that this was only Wattoo who made the establishment of three Medical Colleges in AJK and two Universities in Mirpur & Rawalakot.
Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit Baltistan, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo said that the Government of Pakistan People’s Party is fully committed to extend its moral and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu & Kashmir for their right of self determination.
“Every possible effort in this regard is underway”, he stressed. He said that all outstanding issue with the India should be resolved through negotiations so that the two countries may be able to focus on development related issues for the well being and prosperity of the people of the South Asian Region.
Wattoo said that the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit Baltistan’s mandate is to coordinate with the AJK Government on hehalf of Federal Government and help AJK Government in the Development of the AJK.
He said that the Development and well being of the people of the region is the top most priority of the present political Government of Pakistan People Party.
