Karachi : Lawyers in whole Sindh would boycott court proceedings on Monday in solidarity to independent judiciary, announced Karachi Bar Association (KBA) president Mehmoodul Hassan Advocate, addressing a press conference here on Saturday, adding the entry of Aitzaz Ahsan and Zahid Bukhari would be banned in all bars of the province.
He said that a lawyers convention was held in Karachi Bar Association (KBA), represented by lawyers of whole province and representatives of Pakistan Bar, Sindh Bar and bar associations of all districts, which decided that to show solidarity with the independent judiciary and Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry the lawyers would wear black armbands on Monday and boycott the court proceedings.
To a question, he said after punishment in the court contempt case, he does not recognize Yusuf Raza Gilani as constitutional and legal prime minister of Pakistan. He said if any lawyer of Karachi fought cases of Malik Riaz Hussain his membership would be cancelled.
