Karachi,A lyari Gang War criminal was killed and another two arrested during police operation in Dalmia area, generally known as Mini Lyari , on Thursday. The criminal killed in operation was identified as Moosa alias Shaka.
The police recovered huge quantity of weapons and hand grenades from the possession of criminals house. The Shaka is said to be involved in over 50 cases of heinous crimes and was wanted to police.
The operation in Dalmia area was launched early this morning after an incident of hand grenade attack and firing in which some persons were injured on Wednesday afternoon.
The Shaka is said to be accomplice of notorious dacoit Kalu Current who was killed in operation in same area a couple of years back. The gang of Kalu Current was involved in robberies, killing and extortion. He used to sit in an office with armed bandits guarding him and a board of Peace Committee hanging outside the office. His accomplices collected the extortion money from hundreds of shopkeepers of the area for providing them security .
There was peace for some time after killing of Kalu and some of his accomplices but later Moosa alias Shaka started operating same way. Kalu Current and Shaka were linked to gangs operating in Lyari.
