KARACHI, Sindh home department here Wednesday banned swimming and bathing in the Hub Canal for 60 days.
A handout said to save human lives and to avoid damage to the infrastructure of the canal an d contamination of its water, the government has imposed ban under section 144CrPc on swimming on bathing in the Hab Canal (bifurcation point to Hub Pump House) as well as approaching of private persons except duty staff near the canal for a period of 60 days with immediate effect.
Police officers from the rank of ASI of concerned police stations are authorized to registered cases against the violators of the order.
