Lawyers’ protest suspends court proceedings

Karachi,  Legal proceedings at Sindh High Court (SHC) and sub-ordinate courts remained suspended on the consecutive second day on Friday as lawyers at SHC, Malir Court and City Courts boycotted the proceedings to protest the brutal killing of lawyers by unidentified attackers in Karachi.

Sindh High Court Bar Association has announced a three-day court boycott, while Karachi Bar Association said they would boycott legal proceedings at courts until the arrest of the killers.

Due to strike of lawyers, litigants faced many difficulties; however, proceedings of important cases at Sindh High Court were held at chambers of judges.
