Karachi : Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB)has rejected the claims of Karachi Electricity Supply that KWSB owed Rs 17 billion to the power utility and said according to an agreement signed in April 2009 all dues had been cleared of KWSB.
In a statement, MD KWSB Misbah Fariduddin Saturday said daily-basis long and unannounced load-shedding by Karachi Electric Supply Company has so far handed accumulative water deficit of 3.4 billion gallons to Karachiites.
He demanded that KESC should immediately halt load-shedding and ensure uninterrupted power supply to KWSB installations for its smooth functioning.
He said KESC and was bent-on resorting to continuous load-shedding on KWSB pumping stations, thus damaging the machinery in serious manner.
