Karachi : Chamber of Commerce & Industry s Acting President Younus Muhammad Bashir has strongly reacted over the statement from planning commission that termed the Thar Coal project unworkable , saying the project is workable.
In a statement here Saturday, he stated that Chairman Sindh Board of Investment Muhammad Zubair Motiwala has completely denied the news item appearing in the media by planning commission declaring Thar Coal projects as unworkable. SBI Chairman has said that Thar Coal is National Strategic Reserve of Pakistan and it has been duly vetted by international agencies considered as authority on c.
Moreover, companies in coal mining and coal-based power generation sector have committed to invest more than 15 billion USD in Thar, he said adding they have done so only after complete due diligence. Statements like these tantamount to sabotaging the most important project for Pakistan and its economy, said Younus Muhammad Bashir.
