Maudoodi thoughts influenced Iranian revolution: Khana-e Farhang head

KARACHI :   Cultural Centre of Iran (Khana-e Farhang Iran) Director General Mehdi Khateeb said that Jamaat-e Islami (JI) was the pioneer of modern Islamic movements all over the world, saying the ideology of JI founder Maulana Abul Aala Maudoodi was also integrated to the Islamic revolution of Iran.

Talking to JI Karachi Amir Muhammad Hussain Mehanti Saturday here at Idara-e Noor-e Haq, he said revolutionary movement that Maulana Maudoodi greatly influenced the Islamic revolution in Iran.

Mehdi lauded JI for its untiring struggle for bringing unity and harmony among the Muslims across the world, adding that the Government of Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes and appreciates it.

He said the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran were exemplary and during times of challenges, the people of both nations showed solidarity and unity.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahenti said that Pakistan and Iran enjoy close friendly relations. He said that JI from the day one had welcomed the Islamic revolution in Iran. He said People of Pakistan would not hesitate for a moment for joining Iranian people in their fight against any aggressor.
