Rs49.5bn allocated for health in Sindh budget

Karachi :   Terming the quality healthcare as focused-priority of PPP-led government, Sindh Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah Rs49.52billion including annual development program of Rs 14.8 billion had been proposed in Health for the year 2012-13.

In his budget speech, he said overall spending on health constitutes approximately one tenth of total budgetary outlay.

He said during the current financial year, government had announced Rs2.9billion package for medical doctors, postgraduates and house job officers.
