Lahore, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Syed Munawar Hasan says President Asif Zardari should not consider apex court s decision over Contempt of Court Act 2012 against his ego nor put pressure on superior judiciary for issuing decisions in accordance with his will.
In a statement Saturday, he deplored that government along with its allies never accepted supremacy of Constitution and flouted Supreme Court’s orders on all fronts. If government did not mend its ways people will foil all conspiracies being hatched against the apex court, he added.
He said parliament had right of legislating but it could not enact against basic laws of Constitution, Quran and Sunnah. He alleged rulers had waged war against judiciary to protect NRO which he termed Black Law. He urged government and its allies to abide by rule of law.
On speech of Interior Minister in Senate, he said Rehman Malik highlighted foreign intervention in deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi. He should have shed light on those responsible for target killings, extortions. Munawar Hasan said India had a hand in worsening law and order situation in Karachi, Balochistan and national security institutions had brought evidences on surface many years ago but Interior Minister always belied them.
He contended that insurgency in Balochistan was not from Afghan people as stated by interior minister but agents of Indian secret agency RAW and US CIA. RAW and CIA agents want to create misconception between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Rulers deceived Baloch people in name of relief packages. If government is sincere to solve Baloch people problem, it must bring culprits to justice, he said.
