KP assembly condemns drone attacks and urge for serious steps to stop the massacre

Peshawar :   Condemning the US drone attacks the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Tuesday through  a unanimously urged  federal government to take immediate serious steps to curb the way of such attacks.

The resolution  said drone attacks were  violation of Pakistan s sovereignty and resulting of killings of innocent people.

Members from both sides  supported the jointly drafted resolution and replied with  yes  when the Speaker Kiramatullah Khan  put the resolution for  voice vote for which the relevant rules were already relaxed with the consent of the House.

Mufti Kifatullah of JUI (F)  moved the resolution, which was signed by  information minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain, PPP s Abdul Akbar Khan, PML-Q s Qalandar Lodhi, Nighat Orakzai, PML-N s Javed Abbasi, Inayatullah Khan Jadoon, Pir Sabir Shah and PPP-Sherpao, Nargis Samin.

Through  another  unanimously resolution, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly condemned killing of innocent Muslims and inhuman attitude with them in Burma on the basis of their religion.

The resolution asked the federal government to utilize all resources and forums including the United Nations to stop the human tragedy so that no one could be targeted on religious basis. By curbing the way of inhuman killing on the basis of religion, it said would ensure respect for humanity and foil nefarious designs of enemies.

The PML-N s Pir Sabir Shah moved the jointly drafted resolution carrying signatures of the PPP-S s Israrullah Khan Gandapur, information minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Akram Khan Durrani, Abdul Akbar Khan, Qalandar Lodhi, Javed Abbasi, Nighat Orakzai and Mufti Kifyatullah./

Earlier, the former chief minister Akram Khan Durrani had raised the issue through an adjournment motion expressing concern over the genocide of mslims in Burma . Terming the Muslims throughout the world like a body, he said the entire Muslims were looking towards them but deplored the silence of the UN and media towards the inhuman killings.

Supporting the mover, the information minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said they had always opposed injustices and supported oppressed. He deplored that some Muslims had always adopted extremism and were earning bad name for Islam and Muslims through their extremism activities.

He  said some people destroyed the religious monuments of other religion in Afghanistan . He said the UN should take notice of the situation and stop the inhuman activities with Muslims in Burma.
