Toofan warns to move court against privatization of BoK

Peshawar :  Provincial leader Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PLM-N) Fareed Tufan  has appealed to Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan to take suo muto notice of the privatization of  Bank of Khyber  and take action against those involved in this plan.

Mr. Toofan threatens to move the court against the provincial government which he said was  usurping the rights of Pakhtuns. He said for the protection of Pukhuns  rights his party will launch protest demonstration against the incumbent government.

Farid Toofan told a news conference  on Tuesday at Peshawar press club the deteriorating law and order condition was putting negative impact on the economy therefore there was no justification of selling out the profitable institutions.

Pakistan Railway, Pakistan International Airline (PIA) and steel mill were on the verge of collapse but the rulers had  turned their eyes off to control rampant corruption.

The Bank of Khyber is a profitable institution but it has also been planned to privatize it  Mr. Tufan said adding that the livelihood of hundreds of employees were connected to the bank but the rulers were interested to make commission of its privatization.

He maintained that if the privatization was so necessary then why PIA and Railway had not been privatized as these institutions were also running in losses.

While replying a question, Farid said Begum Nasim Wali Khan s application for the Senate ticket was rejected on the grounds that she was still attached to the politics of Bacha and Wali Khan.
