Speaker- Peace conference

QUETTA :  Maintaining peace and order in the province  is sole responsibility of provincial government and we cannot accuse federal government for deteriorated situation of security.

This was stated by Speaker Balochistan Assembly Muhammad Aslam Bhotani while addressing Peace Conference here Thursday.

He said Balochistan is confronting terrorism, lawlessness and natural disasters for the past some years.  With the result poverty, unemployment and sense of deprivation was increasing in the province. He said all stake holders have to play their role to steer the country of this situation. Establishment of  peace and order for a peaceful society is not only work of law enforcement agencies but it is responsibility of provincial government. If we fail in this objective we cannot hold federal government responsible for it, he added.

Former Deputy Chairman Senate Jan Muhammad Jamali  said that our society is faced with religious and ethnic intolerance. A conspiracy is being hatched to pitch brotherly nations in the province against each other.

Expressing grave concern over ignorance and role of various agencies in the province Jan Jamali said province was going away from our hands. Instead of running educational institutions rockets are being fired but this issue is not being taken seriously.

Chairperson Welfare organisation Mohtarma Nilofar Bakhtiar said that Balochistan is gripped by poverty and deprivation for the last six decades. Problems of this province would be resolved by sitting here instead of Islamabad.
