Karachi : The Academic Council, University of Karachi, has approved to rename the Department of Mathematics as Department of Mathematical Sciences.
This was approved as per recommendation of the Board of Faculty of Sciences. This change will broaden up the horizon of the department and modern courses will be added to its syllabi, says a release here Sunday.
