Student volunteer service program at SIUT

Karachi :   The 28th batch of student volunteer service program of Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation s (SIUT) department for Resource Generation & Outreach is starting on 23rd June 2012, whereas the next batch will start on 30th June.

The module of this program is specially structured to create awareness amongst the participating students about causes, precautions and prevention of different diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney failure, hepatitis, dialysis, transplant and cancer.

This course also includes life saving first aid training for emergency.

This program focuses on instilling the value of compassion and empathy in the new generation (which comprises 64% of our population) to foster a sense of humanity, breaking the ice to help out the patients, and dedicating some of their time for human altruism which is a big need of the society.

These training programs are organized under the supervision of Dr. Adibul Hasan Rizvi Director Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), specialist doctors and senior volunteer student captains. To date more than 2608 students have completed their training and now they are serving not only the SIUT patients but also in other organizations.
