Karachi : Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Justice Musheer Alam and Vice Chancellor of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) Prof. Dr. Masood Hameed Khan inaugurated another Collection Point of Dow Diagnostic Research & Reference Laboratory at Sindh High Court Clinic to provide reliable, high quality and timely reporting diagnostic services of International standard of all possible tests at extremely economical rates.
There are five other Collection Points of Dow Laboratory at different locations of Karachi.
Honorable Judges of the Sindh High Court, President Karachi Bar Association Anwar Mansoor, Advocates, Prof. Dr. Junaid Ashraf, Principal, DMC and Prof. Dr. Rana Qamar and other senior faculty members of the University were also present.
Justice Musheer Alam in his address praised the efforts of Dow University in establishing the facility at Sindh High Court. He further said that diagnosis of any case is essential for proper treatment. The establishment of the laboratory will lead to the strengthening of diagnostic facilities. It is a mutual beneficial relationship and it will go a long way in creating a healthy environment as healthy body is necessary for a healthy mind and judges have to diagnose social and criminal cases for management. It is hard for judges and advocates to take time out and go for their medical checkups, this Laboratory Collection Point will save their precious time.
Prof. Masood Hameed Khan, Vice Chancellor-DUHS speaking on the occasion said that the University s objective is to provide high-quality care that is convenient and easily accessible to large population residing in far off areas. DUHS provide reliable diagnostic laboratory test services on cost to cost basis at about 30 percent of the cost usually charged privately. This Collection Point has been specifically designed to function as an efficient laboratory. Results of these tests will be sent back to the Collection Point, however reports can also be acquired through email.
Prof. Masood Hameed also mentioned that Dow University is also planning to have Executive Checkup at the doorstep in various corporate sectors.
Later on, Mr. Yousuf Iqbal, a senior advocate offered vote of thanks. In the end, Justice Musheer Alam presented High Court memento to the Prof. Dr. Masood Hameed Khan.
