Karachi : Sindh Minister for Health Dr Sagheer Ahmed has said that the foreign funds for government hospitals had not been transferred to provinces while senior officials were also not cooperating to resolve the matter.
He stated this at local hotel of Karachi talking at inauguration ceremony of Health Sector Reforms Unit HSRU) on Friday.
He said employees of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) and National Institute of Child Health (NICH) must acknowledge that they are now employees of Health Department of Sindh.
Dr Sagheer Ahmed said these employees were protesting to voice their concerns, instead of communicating the matter to the provincial health department.
He said Health Sector Reforms Unit (HSRU) has got cooperation of USAID and WHO for benefit of 55 million poor patients of Sindh.
Regional Director of USAID Edward Birgells announced to provide Rs 300million for improving healthcare services to Pakistani patients.
