ISLAMABAD : Appreciating the reconciliation policy of the incumbent government, Prime Minister Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Chaudhry Abdul Majid has expressed full confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
He was addressing a news conference here Thursday at Kashmir House held to mark the birthday anniversary of President Asif and completion of one year of AJK government. President AJK,Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, Secretary General PPP, Jehangir Badar, Speaker AJK, Ghulam Sadiq, Chairman Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), Zamurd Khan, Senior Minister, Chaudhry Yasin, PPP leaders Matloob Inqilabi, Nargis Faiz Malik and others were present on the occasion.
AJK Prime Minister salted people of AJK and PPP for choosing right leadership. He said PPP government was fully representing the masses of AJK and Pakistan. He said numbers of problems were confronted to the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, adding it has succeeded to overcome to these problems.
He said that PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto gave the constitution of 1973 to Pakistan while current leadership including Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur promoted the politics of reconciliation. Today democracy in Pakistan was flourishing due to reconciliation policy of President Asif Ali Zardari, he added. He also paid homage to all forces who were doing work to promote and strengthen the democracy.
Chaudhry Majeed said that government respect all institutions and also paid rich tributes armed forces for serving the country as well as masses. He said AJK government was doing its best to provide relief to the masses. He said health and education facilities were being given to the people at their doorsteps.
Secretary General PPP, Jehangir Badar thanked AJK government for arranging ceremony in connection with birthday anniversary of President Asif Ali Zardari and completing one year of the government. He said that Asif Ali Zardari not only united the party after the death of Benazir Bhutto but the incumbent government successfully completed four years. He lauded the President Asif Ali Zardari’s reconciliation policy. He said PPP does not believe in rigidity, adding the present leadership was promoting Benazir Bhutto’s mission. He vowed to render all kinds of sacrifices for the welfare of masses.
President AJK, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan said that AJK was the base camp of freedom. He extended full confidence in the present leadership of PPP. He said President Zardari has given biggest ever package to AJK. He said that government and armed forces are with the people.
