10,000 youths to be trained under BISP Waseela-e-Rozgar program: Javed Iqbal

MUZAFFARABAD, Food Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Javed Iqbal Budhanvi has said that in a bid to eliminate poverty and unemployment from the country, approximately 10,000 people would be imparted technical training in AJK in the current year under Benazir Bhutto Income Support Program (BISP) Waseela-e-Rozgar program.

He said this while addressing workshop organized by Sugal Development Alliance here on Thursday, which was also addressed by Mrs. Shaheen Kausar Dar Deputy Speaker AJK Legislative Assembly, BISP Regional Director Ch Ishaq, Ch Zahid Director Social Welfare Department and Hanif Khan.

Javed Iqbal said that BISP is part of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto vision under which millions of women would be provided monitory support to make them economically self-sufficient, which is also the manifesto of Pakistan People s Party (PPP).

The Food Minister said that the PPP has always taken solid steps for the welfare and prosperity of women, adding that under Waseela-e-Rozgar program thousands of youths would be provided technical training, making them skillful citizen so that they could easily find jobs and play their part in the development of the country.

Deputy Speaker said that the PPP always played a vital role in eliminating poverty from the country and the BISP program is manifestation of PPP-led government such efforts, adding that the BISP was considered one of the best poverty alleviating program now-a-days across the world for its transparency and wide-ranging impacts.

She said that this program is name of idea and vision to bring women into the mainstream, vowing that the PPP is bending up to flush poverty, unemployment and terrorism from the country and a number of steps are being taken in this regard.
