MUZAFFARABAD : The Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Chaudry Abdul Majeed has said that India was trying to deprive the Kashmiris of their fundamental right by using brutal force, but it should know Kashmiris would never withdraw from right to self-determination.
The Prime Minister expressed his views on the occasion when Kashmiris on Wednesday observed the India’s Independence Day as black day not only on both sides of Line of Control (LOC) but all over the world.
“India’s so called secularism and democracy has been exposed to the international community: it did not only bluffed the world but also defied the UN resolutions but we reiterate and reaffirm that our struggle for independence would continue till we are given our right to decide our fate”, he held.
The AJ&K premier said that no durable peace was possible without peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiris. ” we want not to grow the crops of hatred rather we want to spread the message of love, peace and brotherhood throughout the world but we cannot step back from our stance i.e right to self determination which India herself has promised in United Nations”, he added.
The Prime Minister lauded the Kashmir policy of government of Pakistan saying President Asif Ali Zardari and his government and party was committed to resolving the Kashmir in consonance with the wills of the people of the state.
He showed grave concerns over some undemocratic moves by a few political leaders in Pakistan who, according to him, wanted to derail the democracy for their vested interests. “All political forces should, keeping their personal differences aside, play their role to strengthen Pakistan and democracy and strong and self dependent Pakistan could ensure the freedom of Kashmir”, he observed.
He further said that political differences should not be converted into enmity and Kashmir freedom movement demands complete harmony and all political parties to be on the same page.
