London, Lawyers, civic society members and Pakistan community leaders in UK expressed full solidarity with Supreme Court of Pakistan against unfounded allegations and assured Chief Justice, other judges of apex court of total support to do justice and establish rule of law, without which there cannot be true democracy in Pakistan.
At meeting here, Queen’s Counsel Sibghatullah Kadri said: “We are pleased to see that people of Pakistan particularly legal fraternity has shown in recent days that they stand like a rock behind CJP and Supreme Court and foil all conspiracies hatched by ruling elite.”
He strongly condemned attempt to malign CJP through media. “CJ took suo moto Notice in respect of his son Arsalan Iftikhar and Supreme Court directed AG to conduct investigations in respect of Malik Riaz, his son in law and Arsalan Iftikhar. It is a test for the government and entire nation will wait anxiously to see how this inquiry is conducted,” he added.
The participants of meeting expressed confidence that CJP and judiciary again will emerge triumphant and all conspiracies will be defeated as they were previously during Mr Pervez Musharaff’s regime.
