Zardari disgracing PM”s office to save corruption: Imran Khan

Islamabad, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said that President Asif Ali Zardari was “disgracing the prime minister”s office to save his corruption”.

Khan said that writing to Swiss authorities to reopen cases against Zardari was the real issue.

“It remains to be seen whether Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf will write the letter or he would be sent home by the court for violation of its orders,” the Daily Times quoted Khan, as saying.

Commenting on contesting for NA-151, the seat, which became vacant after the disqualification of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Khan said his party was not fielding a candidate as a matter of principle.

“We will not become part of the assemblies which were for sale and had lost value after electing Raja Pervez Ashraf as leader,” he said.

Khan ruled out any alliance with the parties protecting the status quo and announced that his party would be in the opposition if it could not get majority in parliament in the general elections.
