Prime Minister directs all concerned departments formulate strategy to tackle any eventuality in monsoon

Islamabad,   Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf on Monday directed all concerned departments to formulate a strategy to tackle any eventuality during coming monsoon in the country.

He asked all state institutions to work with dedication in order to mitigate negative effects of flood hazards and take timely preventive measures to reduce its damages.

Addressing pre-monsoon high level meeting here, he said since monsoon season has already set in “we need to analyze and highlight factors that jolted us in the past and workout strategy to face any challenges.”

Raja Ashraf said accurate flood forecasting all institutional arrangement should be made to face national calamity. “Hopefully we will be able to reduce its affects. We should not only restrict to safety of dams structure and possibility of intimating the people through SMS should also be explored.”
