Prime Minister says country needs political continuity to become stronger, respectable nation among comity of nations

Islamabad, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf says the country needs political continuity to become stronger and respectable nation among comity of nations.

Talking to notables from Gujar Khan  who called on him Saturday, he said Pakistan’s vast natural resources could not be exploited due to uncertainty and disruption of political process. Economic development and prosperity are intertwined with political stability, he observed.

Raja Ashraf said it would be his utmost endeavor to rid people of unscheduled load shedding. Government had undertaken long term projects to resolve energy problem on permanent basis and generation improved and would further improve in near future.

He said he issued instructions to Interior Ministry to provide machine readable passports to overseas Pakistani at earliest. He said construction of small dams in Potohar region was need of hour to overcome water scarcity for drinking and irrigation.
