Islamabad , Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has directed the Ministry of Finance to immediately provide all requisite funds to Pakistan High Commission Canberra for the transportation of dead bodies of the Pakistani nationals to Pakistan who lost their lives in 21st June boat capsizing tragedy near Christmas Island, Australia.
The Prime Minister further directed the Pakistan’s High Commission to provide all facilities required for the transportation of dead bodies of Pakistanis to the country.
It may be mentioned that Mr.Sajid Hussain Turi, MNA had requested the Prime Minister to sanction funds for transportation of dead bodies of Pakistanis died in the tragic boat incident.
Pakistan High Commission in Canberra has reported that at present, the dead bodies are going through the Disaster Victim Investigation (DVI) processes in Perth, after which they would be identified.
