Pakistan tycoon Riaz says being implicated in false cases following CJ”s son corruption scam

Islamabad, Pakistan real estate tycoon and the main accused in the Arsalan Iftikhar case, Malik Riaz, has said he has been implicated in false cases, and therefore, has sought more time from the Supreme Court for presentation of additional evidence.

“The Supreme Court should arrive at a judgment about who is right and who is telling a lie after weighing the record of the case in which I was declared a proclaimed offender. And, award me a life imprisonment in case I am found guilty of lying,” The News quoted Riaz, as saying.

He said the Supreme Court would have to dispense justice to him, as he was being implicated in made-up cases.

Riaz reportedly made payments to Pakistan chief justice”s son Dr Arsalan Iftikhar, after the latter assured Riaz that he would settle the cases fought in his father”s court in favour of Bahria Town.

Also, a statement submitted in the Pakistan Supreme Court by Riaz stated that Rs 342,501,254 was spent on Arsalan”s three foreign tours.
