New Delhi, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has accepted President Asif Ali Zardari s invitation to visit Pakistan. President Zardari, who is on day-long visit personal visit to India, invited Indian premier during one-on-one meeting here soon after his arrival at Prime Minister s House located at 7, Race Course Road.
During the meeting both the leaders discussed matters of bilateral interest and to enhance cooperation in different sectors.
Later addressing a joint news conference President Asif Ali Zardari said it was a very good meeting and will help to resolve issues between the two counters. He said: We are neighbors and want to have better relations.
President Zardari thanked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for hosting him though he was on a private visit.
Zardari said his meeting with Manmohan Singh was fruitful and they discussed all the issues concerning both the countries. He said Pakistan was interested in having better relations with India.
Zardari said he hoped to see Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Pakistan soil soon.
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said, We have discussed a number of issues and want to resolve them through dialogue. He thanked President Zardari for invitation to visit Pakistan. I will visit Pakistan and will be very happy to undertake the trip at a convenient time, he said.
Manmohan Singh said he was satisfied with President Asif Ali Zardari s visit to New Delhi during which all the matters were discussed in a very cordial atmosphere. WE had a very friendly and constructive dialogue on all bilateral issues.
He said that both sides wanted bilateral relations to become normal. He said New Delhi was willing to find pragmatic solutions to problems between the two countries.
Their one-on-one meeting lasted about 40 minutes.
Earlier on his arrival at Prime Minister House at Seven Race Courses in New Delhi the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh warmly received President Asif Ali Zardari.
During President Zardari s meeting with the Indian premier no customary note-takers of the Pakistani President were present inside the room.
